Free Five Minute Fire and Shelter Building Taster Session on Saturday 13th March  2.00 - 4.00 pm

The BBC are running a 'Thrill Seeker' initiative to try and get people to venture into the outdoors and try something new. They are advertising this on Countryfile and on a dedicated website: www.bbc.co.uk/thrillseeker

We are going to be running a free event on Saturday 13th March from 2.00 -4.00 as part of this scheme. Come along to the Discovery Centre at 2.00 and you will get the chance to have a go at lighting some natural tinders with fire steels and take part in the 5 minute fire competition. After that you will be able to have a go at building a shelter in the woods using only the natural materials you can find there, the session will finish at 4.00.
