July 2011 onwards South West Water and it’s contractors will be constructing an auxillary spillway at Wistlandpound. For the duration of the work the car park on the dam and the one above it will be closed, please use alternative car park next to the Discovery centre, adjacent to the Calvert Trust activity centre. 12th August 2011 Net Mums are a unique organisation that offer Mums and Dads parenting help and advice and each year they give awards to different attractions……… This year Wistlandpound were the winner of the Gold award for the favourite free place to go in North Devon. We would like to thank everyone that voted for us. Wistlandpound, as you may know, is a partnership project between the Calvert Trust Exmoor, Forestry Commission and South West Lakes Trust.
